Dr. Shaheen Ansari (1983 to 1986 in Minto Circle), is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of experience in the development sector, specifically focusing on child rights. He has also accrued more than 15 years of expertise in educational programming roles with leading national-level organizations.
Dr. Ansari earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), highlighting his academic prowess and dedication to research. Additionally, he holds a journalism degree from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan and received advocacy training from the National Centre for Advocacy Studies (NCAS), further enhancing his skill set.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ansari has made significant contributions to national and international organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, ChildFund International (CFI), Ark Foundation, Arkitect India, Council for Social Development(CSD), RTE Forum, and CRY-Child Rights and You. His work has focused on research, policy analysis, and advocacy for child rights, particularly in the context of disasters and emergencies.
Currently, Dr. Ansari serves as the head of JNU Alumni Campus, a residential project catering to JNU alumni. This role showcases his commitment to fostering community and providing support to fellow JNUites. He also serves as an "Education & Emergency Specialist" with Child Rights and You (CRY), where he continues to focus on child protection and rights during times of crisis. His expertise extends to education and social and emotional learning (SEL), reflecting his dedication to holistic child development.
